Judy was never in disguise.
Judy was never in disguise, I could always see through her, even though she thought I couldn't. Right to the heart of the matter. I knew how she yearned, how she longed, how deeply she hurt and rose above; her dreams of golden purified humanity, even in the days of her Johnny Don't-Give-Two -Fucks. There was nothing she could hide. We met under the radar, where the streetlights keep watch on the dark, headscarf and glasses, she blue-toothed with my mind. Judy always led you west, but I knew she came from the east. Men wrote songs about her - but this one was the best...
